I Finally Chose Justhost

In this blog post- I had some comments about several hosting companies. I was particularly unkind to MediaTemple, my most recent web host and 1and1.

My move to Justhost was easy, painess and in the end, the right thing to do.

I got the 50% off deal with three years of hosting and every single time I had questions, staff jumped on the email and answered it. I give them high marks for customer service. I had a hard time getting used to the structure at JH.

I have several domains that I own. One big problem I had signing up was they make you have a domain in the account root then all the other domains are in directories. You end up with what I call an unorganized mess. I fixed this by registering a dummy domain for the account. It is not an active web site and has no files.

I then added all my real domains as add-on domains so the only things in the account root are directories for the domains. I keep all of my domains with Godaddy so I didn’t use the free domain that came with the account.

I did have one -ONE- DB connection failure (literally seconds long) since switching from MT. With MT I had daily problems with no resolution in sight.

So there you have it, my present recommendation is to get Justhost for WordPress hosting.
